Kotak Hybrid Funds invest in a mix of asset categories such as Equity and debt. These schemes seeks to achieve growth by investing in equity and equity related instruments and balance the risk by investing in debt and money market instruments.
The proportion of investment in each asset class varies from scheme to scheme. The risk quotient ranges between "moderate" to "moderately high" basis the equity exposure in the portfolio. Kotak Mutual fund offers one tax saving scheme - Kotak Tax Saver Fund. This open-ended ELSS seeks to provide the twin benefits of capital appreciation along with tax savings. It is a moderately high-risk scheme with a lock-in of three years. The minimum contribution required is ₹500 and there is no entry or exit load.
The scheme invests across diverse market capitalization segments and sectors. The top contributors being Financial service ( 19%) and Construction sector (13.14%) respectively.
