Canara Robeco Mutual Fund (earlier known as Canara Mutual Fund), formed in 1987 is the country's second oldest asset manager. In the year 2007, Canara Bank and Robeco Group entered into a joint venture and Canara Mutual Fund was renamed as Canara Robeco Mutual Fund. Canara Robeco Equity Tax Saver Fund is an ELSS which invests in a mix of large-cap,mid-cap and small cap stocks. It seeks to offer the twin benefits of capital appreciation and reduction in tax liabilities. It has a mandatory three-year lock-in period.
