The NIFTY MIDCAP 100 Index comprises 100 mid-cap companies, ranked from 101 to 200 based on average market capitalization.

The NIFTY MIDCAP 100 Index price is calculated using the free-float market capitalization method. This method only considers shares available to the public, based on which weights are assigned to companies to calculate free float market cap. The combined weighted market cap of all companies is then divided by the base period index value, which is set at 1,000.

Eligibility criteria to be part of the NIFTY MIDCAP 100:

• 50 companies are selected based on average daily turnover, ranking within the top 70 among NIFTY Midcap 150 constituents.
• A company will be excluded if its average daily turnover ranks below 130 among NIFTY Midcap 150 constituents or if it is removed from the NIFTY Midcap 150 altogether.
